Q&A for Cricut Explore Blades
Now that you have the Cricut Explore machine and fallen in love with the way it cuts, right ? It’s only logical to start wondering about…
- What is the difference in the Cricut Explore vs Cricut blades ?
- Why use one blade over the other with my Cricut Explore?
- How do I change my blade?
- What about the Deep Cut Blade and Housing ?
Good news is I have done a little “show and tell” video to help you !
Let me know after you watch the video if you still have blade questions. I also recommend you always have a replacement blade on hand so when you need to change your blade you have one on hand and keep on crafting away !
Great news is that Cricut has the German Carbide Blade and the Deep Cut Blade (and other supplies) on sale right now for 35% OFF and you can use MARCHSHIP to get FREE Shipping on any size of order. CLICK HERE TO SHOP FOR BLADES . Thanks for using my link to make your purchase and support me.

My cricut Exploer is no cutting my paper. I changed the blade, still not cutting. ?? I’m thinking I need the German Blades..?…
Debbie
Hi Laura – Are you using the right setting for the paper type you are cutting ? Was it cutting before but has now stopped ? The German Carbide Blade is preferred for the Cricut Explore but you may have some other issue going on here. I would suggest you call Cricut Support for help if changing the dial does not help.
Laura Osterland
Ok thanks. I did change the settings and that didn’t work. I’ll call Cricut.
