- Open a new browser tab and type in this URL: https://design.cricut.com
- Follow the prompts to update the Plug In…
- it’s that easy !
- If you are have any problems at all, call Cricut Support at 1-877-727-4288
You will be able to access DS2 for several more weeks but everyone will eventually need to move over to Design Space 3..so why wait ? Get started today !
Your saved Project Files and Uploaded Files (svg, jpegs, etc) will all transfer over to Design Space 3 automatically. It may take a while for them to all show up as it has to update the system after you do the plug in update…so dont panic if you don’t see them right away. Give it a little time but while you wait you can start creating new projects !

Good change. Wish you could transfer designs from one project to another. They took away the right mouse click! You still can’t format text into shapes so it looks like I’ll be spending my summer teaching myself Inkscape.

Will they allow me to use my Cricut Expression on Design space 3?

No unfortunately not Robin. Design Space is only for Cricut Explore users.

Are we able to access the design space 3 web site from iPad? NOT the app but the actual web site like was possible with the old design space? When I try, it takes me directly to the app.

Hi Janette – No you can no longer do that with the release of Design Space 3. You would need to download the actually Cricut Design Space App from the App Store

Are circuit design space and circuit access the same?

Hi Jenny – Let me see if I can help explain the difference between Design Space and Cricut Access. Design Space is the software platform you use to create with Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker machines. This software platform is cloud based which means the software is not downloaded to your local machine but you access via the internet. There are some free cricut images and basic shapes available for everyone to use in Design Space. And you can upload your own designs to cut as well.
Cricut Access is a Subscription that you subscribe to (like Netflix, etc) where you get access to thousands of Cricut images, fonts and projects during the length of your subscription time (monthly or yearly options available). do know if there is a printed manual for DS3. I watch all the videos and by the next time I get back to cutting I’ve got to go back and watch again. A printed copy would so nice thanks and thanks for all you good videos. ps some of them are quite well lets say not so well done.

Hi. There is not a printed manual book but there is a pdf in Cricut Help Center. Do a search for it there and you will find it. Sorry but don’t have link handy to post right now

How can I upload a font to Cricut Design Space 3? I downloaded the font from dafont.com.

Once you download a font you need to install on your computer,then log out andback in to Design Space and you will now find the font under the Text feature in Design Space
