What’s Up with Cricut Explore Subscription Plans ?
Today I wanted to share information about the SUBSCRIPTION PLANS for the new Cricut Explore. First, lets clear up a couple of things people seem confused about.
The Cricut Explore is the name of the new Cricut die cut machine. The internet based application you use with your computer and Cricut Explore die cut machine is called Cricut Design Space. This is the software you log in to on the internet using the web address @ www.cricut.com/design.
Cricut Design Space is FREE to use. No charge for using it at all. Isn’t that nice ?Whether you have a Cricut Explore or even if you don’t own one yet, you can use your current Cricut.com account log in info (or create an account if you don’t) and play around in Cricut Design Space, creating projects and saving them. Click HERE to log in or create an account to check out Cricut Design Space.
But wait, why is Cricut trying to have you sign up and pay for a SUBSCRIPTION to Cricut Design Space if using the software is free ?
The SUBSCRIPTION PLANS are access to the CRICUT IMAGE LIBRARY …over 25,000 single images, and image sets (cartridges or digital sets) you can use in Cricut Design Space to make your projects.
…but what images are included in the CRICUT IMAGE LIBRARY? Lucky for us, Cricut has made a handy LIST OF CRICUT LIBRARY IMAGES so you can know what is included in the subscription…see the entire list HERE.
- New images will be added to the library as they are released so the list will grow !
- Not included are LICENSED (like Disney, Hello Kitty, etc), RETIRED ( ) and ENTITLED (part of past Cricut machine bundles)
There are two SUBSCRIPTION PLAN OPTIONS:
MONTHLY for $9.99/month which is option that you can cancel any time**
OR
YEARLY for $99.99 which is a better value, making it only $8.25 a month **
IMPORTANT TO MENTION: with a subscription you are basically “renting” the images to use during your subscription period BUT you do not own them at the end of the subscription.
**Access to purchase SUBSCRIPTION PLANS will be available soon at Cricut.com
Do you have other Cricut Explore SUBSCRIPTION questions ? Leave me a comment and I will answer them. And don’t forget to come join us over at my Facebook group @ Lets Learn Cricut Explore for more help, tips and fun !
All my comments are my own opinions on those products. I appreciate your support when you purchase using the post links.

Tisha
Does the subscription plan includes fonts?
admin
Yes Tisha, the subscription plan does include fonts
Cheryl Connor
I do not belong to Facebook and I don’t plan on joining. Can’t you offer this information in a blog or create a new subject in the cricuit messages. Not every one want’s to be on Facebook and it upsets me that to get this information you have to join. What’s wrong with this picture? There are others that feel this way and I think you should be able to accommodate everyone.
Carol
If you choose to buy an image instead of opting to buy a supscription means the image you buy is yours forever right? I’m sure I’ve been told this but I want to make sure.
admin
Yes that is correct
Sarah
Recently I have received e-mails stating that cartridges have been added to the cricut subscription plans, is there a list of those that have been added? Thanks.
Linda Andrews
I purchased the November mystery gift from Cricut which included 2 free months of subscription to Cricut images. I don’t know how to get those images at no cost. It looks like I am still charged for images I don’t own in design space.
Kristen
I’m having the same problem. I just bought a monthly subscription but when I go to insert images or fonts, the prices are still there. Shouldn’t it say $0.00? I shouldn’t be charged for each image or font when I have a subscription, right?
Debbie
Kristen – If you are having any trouble with your Cricut Subscription, I would recommend you contact Cricut Support @ 1-877-727-4288. The image library should be showing you that you have SUBSCRIBED in a blue banded box under the image if it is included in the subscrition. Licensed images like Disney are not included and you would see a price for those. Debbie
Erin
I’m thinking of getting a one month subscription… When you say that you are “renting” the images in the library does that mean anything you create with them and save will no longer be available to edit or print again after the month runs out ?
Debbie
Yes Erin this is correct. You would need to purchase the images if you wanted to keep them for use later.
Lilia
Hi I wanted to know how to use the 2 month digital subscription that came with my cricut explore package?
Debbie
Hi Lilia – Call Cricut customer support at 877-727-4288 and they can help you get it set up.
Emily
I just bought Cricut explore & has free subscription for 2 wks, when the time is over is it all my save stuff will be deleted automatically or i will be charged for it? Even it save in my images its not gonna be mind?
Debbie
Hi Emily -Sorry for the delay in answering you…I was having trouble receiving my messages. When your 2 week subscription is up, your saved files will still be in your Cricut Design Space files and you can still use the file. But if you used any images that you did not own and only from the subscription, then if you go to cut that file it will charge you for the images in that file. You can renew your subscription either on a monthly $9.99 or a yearly $99 basis once your 2 week free trial ends. If you dont already own a lot of cartridges and have them linked to your cricut.com account, getting the subscription is really worth it to make your crafting easier 🙂 Let me know if you have other questions. Debbie
Nicole
When uploading a cartridge that you own into your cricut account to use with an explore, is that cartridge then able to be used in a different machine to be uploaded again? Meaning, if I let a friend use my cartridge to upload to her account, will I still be able to upload it to mine, or will it be flagged as having already been used?
Debbie
Hi Nicole – NO, you are not able to link a cartridge to more than one account.
Aimee
Hello! I just bought a Cricut Explore Air and love it! I’m thinking of getting the annual subscription because it is a better deal. Just to be clear, once subscribing, ALL images/fonts in Design Space that had previously costed money will now be included except for licensed items (ie. Disney, Hello Kitty, etc.)?
Debbie
Hi Aimee – Yes all images/fonts in Design Space that previously cost money if you didnt already own the image will be included in the subscription with the Exception of LICENSED IMAGES…Disney, Hello Kitty, Anna Griffin, Lia Griffith, and a few other designers for Cricut. I think the yearly subscription is definitely worth it so you have plenty of images to create from and Cricut adds more every week. Enjoy ! Debbie
Marianne
Hey, Debbie….your website came up as a place to ask questions about subscriptions. I am glad, because I have a few. First, nowhere in the info. I got with my new Explore Air does it say that I got a freebie subscription. Reading above, I guess that’s what I got because under MY IMAGES there are tons of pictures that have the blue SUBSCRIPTION bar underneath. I have not paid for any subscription. So at the end of two weeks, or something, those images will disappear? Secondly, when I log into Cricut Design Space and select a new project, the filter on the right has a few things to check to show my images…every time I do this the number of images is different. Sometimes I can see all my old cartridges and sometimes not…what am I doing wrong?
Debbie
Hi Marianne – Yes, you are correct about the FREE Subscription ending. Those images will still be in Design Space but will show a price so you can purchase individually after the subscription ends. Regarding your other question, if you are logged in to Design Space using your Cricut.com account you should consistently see the same images. Make sure your a logged in and see your name in the upper left corner..if not, log in and see if you see the same thing. Are you using the Filter funnel next to the search box for images? I am trying to envision what you are doing so I can answer your question better. Let me know and I can see what else I can do to help. Debbie
Marianne
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I get it on the subscriptions. I don’t think I would even do $8.25 per month to justify it, but if I start going crazy, who knows? To the other question….yes I am using the filter, and when the drop down comes, I was clicking on MY IMAGES. I checked to make sure I was completely and correctly signed in. Under MY IMAGES, I got all the subscription ones and then at the end I got a few of my cartridges, but not all. Then I clicked on PURCHASED and got a few more, but not all. Then I exited the whole thing and tried again. Finally I got what I think is all my images (except for this Sesame Street cartridge). I think I have total about 3200 images. So I exited again, and tried it a third time, and only got 2100 images. I like that total number…it seems to help me keep track. I just thought I was doing something wrong, but who knows. I can live with it, but if you have some tips for me, I would surely appreciate it. Keep up the good work, helping us all out. Thanks so much.
Claire
Hi i am in the UK and i have tried to get a subscription but it says product not available. i have tried call the help number but it keeps ringing and ring and says leave a message but no one calls back. i have also emailed but with the same response. i am thinking of returning my product as if i buy items individually then it would cost a fortune as a subscription would be cheaper for these products. Help where am i going wrong?
Debbie
Hi Claire – Sorry for the delay in responding back to you but I am trying to find the correct information for you. I know that Cricut does sell the subscription in the UK but you can only purchase the annual subscription and not the monthly subscription at this time. Here is the link about the UK Subscriptions. Please note it does say that you can only purchase in Cricut Design Space and not on Cricut.com directly. So log in to Design Space first and try purchasing it while logged in to Design Space. http://uk.cricut.com/home/learn/image-library/subscriptions If I get more detailed information on how to sign up, I will let you know. Debbie
Donna
I use images I am subscribed for through the subscription, but when I go to cut them, it shows a charge of $1.49 no matter what image I am attempting to cut. What’s up with that?
Hope you can help
Donna
Debbie
Hi Donna – Are you logged in to your Design Space account ? Sometimes that is what the issue could be. If you are logged in and it is still doing it, contact customer support to make sure there is not an issue with your subscription. Cricut Support 877-727-4288
claudia
Where do I go to cancel my subscription! I have looked and no help with information!
Debbie
Claudia – You have to call Cricut to cancel. There is no online way to do it is my understanding. Call support at 877-727-4288 and they can take care of this for you.
Kendrid Rodriguez
So happy to have found your page! We just purchased the Explore Air and I’m having trouble adding my own images in Design Space. I’ve tried several different images and I’ve reviewed quite a few tutorials that explain how to do this, but I don’t have a Continue option once I’ve selected the option to upload the image and then the image type. It only says Back. Any suggestions?
Debbie
Hi Kendrid- Did you upload the right type of file to the right loader? SVG files get uploaded in the Vector upload and jpegs, pngs, etc get uploaded in the Basic Uploader. If you are uploading in the correct loader, sometimes your computer screen is zoomed out too much and you dont see the continue button on the far right bottom of the screen. Try and change the zoom on your screen and see if that helps…I bet it does. If that doesnt work then contact Cricut Customer Support at 877-727-4288. Good luck.
nancy grow
debbie – how can i tell if my monthly subscription has ended? i think that may be why i am having downloading issues in DS today. my credit card changed nbrs recently and i don’t know how to renew my subscription
nancy grow
found my answer and re subscribed.
Brenda
Hi Debbie I wonder if you can tell me why I cannot purchase images from design space I sold my first explore as I gave up trying to buy images but then I wanted my cricut explore so I bought a new one design space still wont let me purchase a file.
the message I get is ERROR PROCESSING ORDER CREDIT AUTHORISATION FAILED
I have contacted cricut support so many times and they dont seem to be able to help me have you heard of this problem before.
best regards
Brenda
Debbie
Hi Brenda -Yes I have heard others say they have this issue as well. Where are you located ? Many overseas Cricut users were having trouble a while back. Unfortunately I do not have a work around for this. You would need to contact Cricut again. Maybe try using a different credit card on your Cricut account ? I am sorry this is happening to you. Hope you can get is resolved. Debbie
Chrisi
I am having the same problem and I am in Indiana! I have tried 3 different cards and none have worked. It’s a bummer for sure!
Debbie
Cricut is experiencing some issues with their new shopping cart. If you can please contact them directly, they will be able to help you resolve that issue. Debbie
Jennifer
Hello! Can I use my subscription on my cricut mini??
Debbie
The subscription is for Design Space and Cricut Craftroom. I believe you can use Cricut Craftroom with the Cricut Mini but contact support to doublecheck first.
Kim Vande hei
HELP!! I purchased the $9.99 monthly usage of fonts/images but it’s still trying to charge me. My debt card has been charged for the $9.99. Would love to complete my projects today? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Debbie
Make sure you are logged in to your Cricut account. If that doesnt work, You would need to contact Cricut Support to help you with that Kim.
Dustin
I’m thinking about getting the Explore Air and I’ve never had any previous Cricut products. Can you do projects without having a subscription? Or what things are you limited to without a subscription? From what I’ve read below you really can’t do anything without this subscription.
Debbie
Hi ! Yes you can do projects on Cricut Explore without using the Cricut Subscription. There are several free images you can use in Design Space. Plus you can import in your own svg, png, jpg files to cut. The advantage of the subscription is that it gives you 60,000 images now to choose from. Let me know if you have more questions. Debbie
Laura
So, if I buy a cartridge at a garage sale, and the previous owner has linked it. Then I won’t be able to link it?
Debbie
Laura that is correct. Previously linked cartridges can not be used to link to your account. Cricut will NOT unlink a cartridge. Sorry. You can use linked cartridges on the older Cricut’s like Cricut Expression where you physicailly put the cartridge in the machine to use it.
Heather
Hi Debbie, Once you prepare images to be cut are they always ready to go without setting up to cut again? In other words, if I cut 10 today, can I go back and just click cut tomorrow without setting up the file again? I am a designer and would be using my own original artwork – are my own files saved on Cricut account, or on my hard drive? Thanks
Debbie
Hi Heather – Yes if you save your Design in Design Space, you can go back and cut it anytime you want after that ! Once you add your files to Design Space they remain in Design Space for you to use. Debbie
Tari Anne
Hi ladies;
I just got my Cricut Explore Air yesterday and have been going through the pains of the learning curve. Mine came with a subscription for a month, but when I choose a project I also still get a price showing. These are not Disney or licensed images that I can tell, just random projects. The other oddity with one of them is that all the components were listed as free but the font came up with a price! Is this subscription truly worth it? Im in Canada and our dollar is tanking and it will cost quite a bit for us here and if I am still going to be locked out of most projects I won’t bother. I also felt there should be more projects, I wasn’t too stoked on the ones I did see.
Debbie
HI Tari – With the Subscription, you should get access to fonts that are part of the cartridge/image sets in design space. But if it is a FONT specific cartridge, like Fontastic, etc. those are not included in the subscription. You would need to purchase those separately and add to your account. Also, FONTS are not searchable as images, you have to go to INSERT TEXT and type in something….then you will see a drop down under the EDIT panel with all the font names. If you see a font without a price those are included in the subscription. If it has a price next to it, those are not included. Always make sure you are logged in to your Cricut account when you are doing searches to ensure you are seeing what is acurately available to you as part of the subscription. The images included in the subscription will say SUBSCRIBED. It could be you are selecting Make It Now Projects …if some of the images are saying they are free but the font is not that would be my guess. You can always go to customize …delete the font or change it to another one you do own so you can continue using that design. I hope you find this information useful. sorry for the delay in responding as I have been ill after the holidays and just trying to answer all my messages.
Roda
Hi, Debbie! Is the Cricut Image Library Monthly Subscription only good for 2 weeks? I purchased a monthly subscription today and it’s saying I have an active subscription for 2 weeks.
Debbie
Hi Roda – Every Cricut Explore machine comes with a free two week subscription trial. That is probably why it is saying that in your account. It does sometimes take a little while (an hour or so) before your subscription rewnewal/sign up shows up in your account. Make sure you log off and back in to Cricut account to see if it was activated. If not, call support and they can help you with making sure everything in your account is set up correctly. 877-727-4288
Dawn
I cannot change my credit card info. I got a new card. I went to the account settings and nothing. Help.
Debbie
HI Dawn – I cant help you with that but I would suggest your call Cricut support. They changed to a new shopping cart and it is not allowing you to add your credit card info for the subscription but Cricut support can do it for you. Here is the number to call 877-727-4288
Dawn
Hi Debbie,
i just purchased the yearly subscription for the cricut library. i understand that disney & hello kitty are not included but i noticed for instance alot of thanksgiving, christmas and others have prices. why wouldnt these be included? thanks for any help. Dawn
Debbie
Hi Dawn – First make sure you are logged in to your Cricut Design Space account…imaages that are included will say subscribed under them. Now Cricut does have a several other designers that their content images are also licensed. If you go to insert image, then select categories, it will take you to a page with all images put in categories. Scroll to the bottom of page and you will see BRANDS categorie. All of those designer’s images are considered to be licensed images. But dont worry there are plenty of images included in Design Space for you to use instead of those. Hope this helps !
Debbie
Oh and also Cricut has a list of every cartridge included in the library that you might find helpful…they do add to it all the time. http://content.provocraft.com/b/pdfs/cricutimagelibrarysubscription.pdf
Della
If I buy a font to use in a project do I then own that font so I can use it whenever I want or can I only use it once
Debbie
HI Della – If you purchase a font you own it and can use whenever you want. Debbie
laura
I linked a cartridge, it says purchased. But when I click on view. It says no images.
Tari Anne
Please help if you can. I am in Canada. When I tried to get a subscription going, it asked for a password to authorize it. My Cricut password failed. What password does it want?
I tried to subscribe a different way from a different page, and it will not give me any other country choice except USA, and because of that it wont accept my postal code.
I can’t call them because I do not have any phone anymore, no cell no landline. Only internet.
Anyone have ANY ideas? This expensive machine is sitting here idle since my free sub ended, the free designs are no fun.
Debbie
Tari – Make sure your country in your Cricut.com account is set to Canada. It should let you purchase the subscription from Cricut.com and not through Design Space directly if that is what you were doing. If you are still having an issue, just call Cricut support and they can help get your sub started.
tanya
can the subscriptiopn be used on the expression2
Debbie
Yes Tanya it can. But some of the subscription items will only be available for Design Space for Cricut Explore.
Eva
Dear
I have recently bought a cricut explore. I live in Belgium, is there any option to subscribe from this country? (Our currency is EUR) which steps do I have to followe?
Otherwise it would be quite useless that I bought it 🙁
Kind regards
Eva
Debbie
HI Eva – I am not sure if you can purchase a subscription in Belgium. You would need to contact Cricut Support and ask them. This is the International Customer Support Number Outside of UK: 0044 0808 101 7032 Sorry I couldnt be of more help. Debbie
paula hall
fallen at the first hurdle, am in uk and it wont accept credit cards, know they are all fine just failing to accept them, on line chat is laughable, fed up, ready to put it back in the box and send to amazon
Debbie
HI Paula – I am sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. I have heard that the new Cricut shopping cart is having issues with processing payments. I would try to contact support one more time and see if another rep could help you. There isnt much I can do for you unfortunately. The Cricut Explore really is a great machine but I do understand your frustration. Call UK Support UK: 0808 101 7032 Good luck !
BETH ann
Hello Debbie,
I recently bought a monthly subscription for Cricut Access and I am still being charged for a lot of the fonts! Do you know if the fonts are no longer included in the access?
Beth Ann
BETH ann
I found my answer! Thank you anyway!
Debbie
well glad you found the answer Beth Ann…let me know if you have other questions though. Debbie
Debbie
Hi Beth Ann – The Cricut Access Subscription does include several fonts but not all the Cricut fonts. The ones included will have an “a” next to them in the font drop down list.
Pen Cruz
Hi, I’m Pen a freelance GA from Philippines and I am planning to buy a CEA for my work, but my question is, since design space app is free to use, do i still need to subscribe for the monthly or annual fee, even if I have my own images? And since I’m in Philippines will I be able to sign up to have a cricut ID? Because when I tried there only 3 countries to choose from. And do you have any idea if I can cut wafer paper using CEA?
Debbie
Hi Pen – Thanks for contacting me. Unfortunately, Cricut only supports certain countries. I do know they are adding more countries over time. I would strongly suggest you call them or send them an email to their international department. Here is the International info: Outside of UK: 0044 0808 101 7032
Phone: 2pm – 1am GMT/UTC
Chat: Monday – Friday 9 a.m – 1 a.m.
E-mail: isupport@cricut.com
patty
How do I know if my monthly subscription has expired or not?
Debbie
Hi Patty – You can see that in your Cricut.com account. Go to cricut.com and log in to your Cricut account…click where it shows your name, click where it says Subscriptions and Memberships and see what is listed there. Should have date range and way to manage your subscription. Hope this helps. Debbie
Jennifer
I just bought the cricut air. I was told I got two months free of the cricut access but there is no code in my box. I can’t even seem to be able to buy images
Debbie
Hi Jennifer – You would not have received a code with your Cricut Explore. If the machine you bought came with a free subscription, it would have added it to your account automatically when you set up your Cricut Explore and it got registered. To check, You can 1) go to cricut.com and log in to your Cricut account…click where it shows your name, click where it says Subscriptions and Memberships and see if it listed that it started there and the date range. If it is not there, contact Cricut to find out why it is not showing up. They may need to know the serial number on your Explore to determine what accecss you should have been granted. 2) I am not sure why you can not buy images…do you mean directly in Design Space ? I would suggest you contact Cricut Support to discuss that with them since it may have to do with your Cricut account. Sorry I can’t help more than that.
Kaella Nowoc
Hello there! I just discovered this Cricut machine a week ago because my friend told me it fits my hobby. Since then I’ve been watching videos and reading about it. Since you explained what part you need to pay which is reasonable for having access to good stuff, I am now a bit confused with what you can buy vs what you pay for monthly subsrciptions. So I was checking the Cricut website and check out what else they offer. They are selling fonts styles, clipart images and some accessories. Lets say I buy a set of font, will that stay with me meaning regardless if my subscription is over I will still have them available for me? 2nd is that I saw a video that if you use the font they have in the app you will have to pay some amount. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if you buy something from their website do you still need to pay something when you’re designing a project using that font you buy? Sorry if you get confuse with my questions, I’m a bit confuse of what they offer to buy, to subsribe, and if you buy the fonts etc will that eliminates paying the amount everytime you use the font you bought to design a project.
Debbie
HI Kaella – If you purchase a Cricut Image or Font Set from Cricut, then it belongs to you. Whether that is a physical cartridge or a digital image. When you have the subscription plan, the images and fonts you have access to are like borrowing them for the term of your subscription. Like when you rent a movie, you dont own it but you can watch it and then return it by the expiration. So if you buy a FONT image set, then you will have access to it always, regardless of whether you have the subscription plan or not. Let me know if that helps clear up the confusion you are having. And Welcome to Cricut Explore ! It is an awesome die cut machine ! Be sure and join us over at Lets Learn Cricut Explore Facebook Group too !
Charlotte
I have a cricut expression! Purple! I am wondering, can I use this subscription plan and cut vinyl! Also, do I have to have a specific cartridge to have this subscription work??
Debbie
Charlotte – Do you have a Cricut Expression or a Cricut Explore. Those are two different machines. If you have the Cricut Explore, then yes, certainly you can use the Design Space Cricut Access Library Subscription. But if you are have the Cricut Expression, it uses the Cricut Craftroom and you have to link your cartridges to that designing program which is not the same as Design Space.
Tiffany Yu
Hi Debbies, I just bought two Cricut Explore machines. One is in my home and another one is in my office. I have set the one in my home, but not set the one in my office yet. Just want to know, If I subscribed the Cricut access, can I applied it to both machines or I have to subscribe two accounts?
Debbie
Yes Tiffany you can use on both machines…your Cricut Access Subscription can be used on any Cricut Explore machine 🙂 That is the beauty of it. Just part of your personal Cricut account !
Debra Koop
Why am I being charged Tax on my design space monthly fee it is a non tangible item?
The transfer of a downloadable file such as an eBook or an “app” is not a taxable transaction.
As a reminder, in California, sales of software programs which are downloaded without any tangible property exchanging hands are not subject to sales tax.
A digital subscription service would be considered intangible.
Debbie
I am not sure. I do not work for Cricut. I would suggest you contact them directly to ask about the tax thing. Sorry I cant help you .
Debbie Martin
Hi! I have the Cricut Expression 2. What do I need to subscribe to so I can use the images and fonts for a monthly fee? IS it called Design Space or something else? I’m confused. Thanks!
Debbie
Hi Debbie – You can purchase Cricut Access and it will work with Cricut Craftroom which is the program you use with Cricut Expression 2. In the Cricut Craft Room software, all of the cartridges that are included in Cricut Access will be available through the “My Cartridges” filter when your Cricut Access plan is active. Here is a link to purchase Cricut Access: http://goo.gl/Nuiyub You can purchase either the Monthly or Yearly SUbscription (you save a little month buying the yearly over monthly). Hope this info helps. You will LOVE having Cricut Access ! Debbie
Carla A
I am brand new to cricut explore and I have two questions:
1 I linked most of my cartridges to the design space but when I use the design space search they do not seem to appear
2 I still have the trial membership to cricut access but all the images that come up when I search cost 99 cents? What good is the membership?
Debbie
Hi Carla – Have you logged out of Design Space after you linked up your cartridges and then logged back in ? That usually fixes the problem you are describing. As far as the Cricut Access only licensed images are not FREE and show a costs. If you are having issues with all the searches, you might need to contact Cricut Support for help with your account.
Hope
Hi Debbie. I have a question for you. My husband bought me a Cricut Mini a few years ago….never took it out of the box until yesterday….I know….silly me!!! But anyway, I need to know if I can use the Cricut Access Monthly in the Cricut Craft Room as I think the craft room is the only way I can use the mini as it won’t work in Design Space.
Debbie
Hi – Yes You can purchase Cricut Access and it will work with Cricut Craftroom. Debbie
Hope
Thanks Debbie! I got the mini set up….it cut the “thank you” letters preprogrammed at set up. I created an image to cut but it will NOT cut! I spent hours and absolutely nothing. All firmware is updated and my mini is recognized on my MacBook but it won’t cut!!!
Angela
How do u access your cricut subscription.
Debbie
HI Angela -Do you mean if you purchased it already ? You would sign in to your Cricut.com account and it would grant you access to use it in Design Space or Craftroom.
MERCEDES FERNANDEZ
I just bought the Cricut Explore air ,after having the Expressions for more than 6 years approx.. I want to have access to the cricut access.I leave in Puerto Rico Which is a Commonwealth of the USA. I don’t know what can I do to have the Cricut Access which was one of the reasons I bought the Explore air . Please let me know what can I do. Thank you
Debbie
Mercedes – I do not work directly for Cricut so I have no idea if it is possible for you get Cricut Access. I suggest you contact Cricut directly and see if they can help you. You can find contact info here @ http://help.cricut.com/ Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see ways to contact via chat or phone call them. Good luck. I hope they can help you. Debbie
Taylor
Hello,
I have the cricut explore air and don’t want to purchase the membership. Can I use my own fonts that I have downloaded to my computer?
Debbie
Yes you can Taylor. Just make sure you have actually installed the fonts on your computer and not just downloaded it. You will then find them listed as System fonts in the Text Edit Panel. I love using my own fonts as well as Cricut ones. Have fun ! Fonts are addicting.
Christie
Hi I just purchased a Cricut and have no idea what I’m doing. So in the design center if you pay for the project can you only use it that one time or when you save your project you can use it again?
Debbie
Hi Christie – When you purchase images/projects they become part of your Cricut account so you can use them as many times as you want. Come join us over in my FB Group, Lets Learn Cricut Explore Facebook Group and we can help get you up and running on your Cricut Explore. Debbie

I just purchased the new cricut explore air on HSN that has a 1 year subscription with it. Does this mean i can cancel the subscription i am paying 9.99 a month for now to save that money for a year? Then i can start it back up?
Debbie
Hi Kay – Yes I would suggest you contact Cricut and cancel your monthly subscription and once you set up for new Cricut Explore Air 2, then it will add your 1 year Subscription to your account instead. Hope this helps ! Debbie Make sure and join us over at my Lets Learn Cricut Explore Facebook Group if you aren’t already a member.

I have the explore air 2 that came with a free years subscription. How do I set that up to receive that?
Debbie
Hi Rhonda – When you set up your machine for the first time it will add your machine and subscription to your Cricut Design Space Account . Just follow the directions on the Cricut Set Up link you received with your Explore 2. And make sure you come join my Lets Learn Cricut Explore Facebook Group if you havent already !

If an images is free this week and I save it as a project will it always be free as along as I have a subscription?
Debbie
Hi Brandi – No the image is only FREE that week it is offered for Free. If you make a project with it and want to use it again you would need to pay for that image next time.

I am most likely getting the Cricut Explore Air 2 for Christmas this year. I have all my cartridges linked to my account in cricut craftroom. Now that cricut design space is free I want to use that instead. Will I be able to use the cartridges there as well?
Debbie
Yes

I am curious about the subscription. Do you have access to the all of the same images the entire time you are subscribed? I wasn’t sure if they changed or not, and If they removed any of them.
Debbie
With the subscription you get access to all the images included in the library all the time…plus Cricut adds exclusive content only available to subscribers

I did the monthly fonts suscription. I still have to pay for fonts. I get 10 out of the supposed 370 for free plus my computer fonts. Is the monthly fee worth it? NO! Ive basically wasted my money so far on this machine. To ebay it goes this week……
Debbie
