Day 17: 25 Days of Christmas Projects Inspiration

25 days of Christmas

Welcome to Day 17 of 25 Days of Christmas Project Inspiration:

Snowman Theme

Who doesn’t love an adorable Snowman?  Today I made a super cute Snowman Gift Bag using a free file from SVG Cuts.  It is part of their Happy Holidays SVG Kit they are sharing with everyone in the spirit of Christmas.  Isn’t that sweet of them to do?

I wanted to share a few TIPS I had for putting this together and using the same materials in my Snowman Gift Bag.

Snowman Gift Bag Tips:

1. I suggest you adhere the bag together using Scor-Tape. This is a great, strong hold double sided tape perfect for keeping paper products together.

2. If you used Glitter paper like I did for the Snowman base, I highly recommend using Glossy Accents to adhere the other layering images like the Hat, Scarf and face. It dries super fast and is the best I have found for glitter paper gluing.

3. Add a little ink to the edges of the image cuts to add a little “extra” to them.  Here I used a Galaxy Gold Brillance ink to the scarf.  I also added it to the 2nd layer of the handles too.

4.  While you can just adhere the completed Snowman to the front of the bag flat, I suggest adding some foam pop dots to make it stand out slightly from the bag for more dimension on the bag.

5.  Don’t toss out the negative images cut from the handles.  They make perfect Gift Tags to add to your bag.  I used a White Signo Gel Pen to write To: and From: on the tag, added a gem to embellish, punched and hole at top and tied on with a ribbon.

There are some other cute bags in the SVG Cuts Happy Holidays SVG Kit you can make too. Including those adorable Santa Pants Gift Bag I plan on tackling next and that Gingerbead House box is awesome as well !

I like the idea of saving the cutouts from the handles and using them as gift tags!
