New Die Cut Spotted (Part 3)

Time for Part 3 of New Die Cuts Spotted posts…Yipeee! . I am having so much fun sharing these amazing New Die Cut Products from CHA 2014 with all of you.  If you missed the previous two posts, you will want to go back and check these out asap ! You can find Part 1 HERE and Part 2 HERE.

Now on to Day 3…so far I have showed you some new die cut tools (part 1) and lots of new dies (part 2) so today for part 3 I thought it was only fair to also show you a few new die cut machines that were demo’d at CHA.  Once again I am sharing with you video interviews filmed by Noell Hymann of Paperclipping.com.  She just does the best ones out there of all the best CHA has to offer. Thanks Noell for letting us all live vicariously through you at CHA.

Scan N Cut by Brother – shown by the Season Two winner of TV’s Project Runway show.  He showed off clothing and accessories he made out of various thickness of materials by designing a pattern to scan then cutting with this machine which was interesting. And of course you can use it for cardmaking and scrapbooking and any paper crafting too ! You don’t need a computer to use it. You just use your own designs or templates that are in the software to cut.  Different models come with different amounts of designs pre-loaded.

We R Memory Keepers Evolution 2 Advanced – Its a manual die cut platform machine that can be converted to an electronic machine with a separate motor attachment. But that is not all…you only need 1 platform and mat to do die cutting, embossing and letterpressing with this new machine because it will have a height adjuster for the different activities you would be doing with it. Now that is cool !!  It also has suction to keep from sliding around AND storage compartments in the fold out base.  Pretty cool…but that is what we have learned to expect from We R Memory Keepers, right? 

Sizzix Eclips 2 and Eclips 2 with Blue Tooth – What can I say about the Eclips 2 with Blue Tooth that will be coming out in June except WOW…you can use a tablet like the iPad to use the Eclips software to design your die cut project then send through wifi to the machine to cut it.  Sounds like a techie crafters dream to me !  I don’t know what I am more impressed with…the blue tooth capability OR the free hand cut designs by Sharon Sowell that is the basis for all the eclips designs…amazing ! .

Sizzix by Tim Holtz – And it wouldn’t be a CHA review if I didn’t show you anything from the amazing Tim Holtz so here we go.

Jumbo Steel Rule Dies – Oversized die shapes great for home decor flowers for lamps and pillows cut with variety of materials. I love the completed project shown in the video on the lamp shade..

Stamp & Framelet Dies – combines a rubber stamp with the matching die cut shape perfect for card makers and scrapbookers or mixed media artist.

Frameworks – new die type that is steel rule, repeating pattern that can cut through a huge variety of materials (paper, grungeboard, fabric, mirror, cork, etc.) and then be pieced back together because of the repeating pattern nature of the die.  Can you say AWESOME ! 

Shadow Press Folders – its a Debossing folder that creates lines around the pressed image to give you a debossed look instead of an embossed look.  These are really nice and would great on a lots of different die cut shapes. You get 6 different words in each set sold. Another thing going on my MUST HAVE LIST ! 

And of course I wouldn’t be your favorite Die Cut Diva if I didn’t share with you a few non-die cut products by Tim that we can still use as die cut crafters.  I don’t think I can live without either of these tools !  Gesh, that man is going to rule the world one day ! 

Stella Lighting Clip Arm Lamp – it has a remote control, clamps on to your desk and is super awesome ! It goes from LED to True Light to Soft White light and has a DIMMER ! Definitely on my MUST HAVE LIST for my crafting table ! 

9.5″ Shears by Tonic – Same wonderful titanium, non-stick surface, self sharpening and big soft handles as the original fine point ones we all know and love but super sized to 9.5″ long blade scissors!   Just what I have been wanting so also goes on my MUST HAVE LIST !  That list is getting mighty long !  

And last but not least…Tim Holtz Marker Spritzer Tool….OMG !  You are so going to want one of these when you see what it does !  And the mini distress pads for traveling AND the mini distress round blending tool to help eliminate hard lines and the rest of the distress line being released.  So do you think Tim Holtz would adopt me so I can hang out and  play in his craft studio all day long with all this cool stuff ? A crafty girl can dream, right ?
