Square1 Masterpiece: Travel Adventure Project

Today I can finally share with you the Square1 Masterpiece project I made as my first Square 1 Creative Team member project !  I am so excited to be a part of this amazing team and working with such a great product that is easy to use AND good for the environment  too ! I have been wanting to put up a Travel quote up on my entry hall wall for the longest time and kept looking at ones to purchase but never saw exactly what I wanted.  Well, I was finally able to get just the quote and look I wanted using Square 1 Masterpiece !

I used the Square1 Masterpiece REPOSITIONABLE in black to create the words and heart. The REPOSITIONABLE is a little thicker than regular vinyl would be and very easy to cut with my Silhouette Cameo and apply to the wall because it does not stretch and curl like a traditional vinyl would because it is a fabric backed adhesive product.  And the best part is that with it being REPOSITIONABLE, I can remove it and re-apply anytime I want !  How cool is that !!!

For the Heart shape,  I cut it  in the REPOSITIONABLE black but then cut the layer in red PERMANENT AND adhered it right on top so that I could still easily remove the Heart image if I wanted. I used Transfer Tape to make it easier to line up on the base image, but I really didn’t need to do that since Square 1 can be used without transfer tape. Yeah !  Here is the final layered Heart image.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know you are all probably wondering what in the world is that awesome globe cut from, right?  Well Square 1 PRINTABLE is also REPOSITIONABLE !   All you need is your own ink jet printer and then you too can print out any image on the 8 1/2X11 Square1 PRINTABLE and apply to your wall. Tip: Once you print it, let it dry for a few minutes to make sure your ink sets before cutting and applying to your wall.

I used the Print N Cut Feature with my Silhouette Cameo to make the Globe which is an Echo Park file I purchased in the Silhouette Online Store.

Just think of all the possibilities with this PRINTABLE Square 1 product?  And right now if you purchase the PRINTABLE, you can get 15% off your order. You can print out ANY Image…a favorite photo, a logo, an image you find, you can even scan an image such as your child’s drawing !  My head is spinning just thinking of all I can do with this product.  And if you don’t have a Silhouette Cameo to do the Print N Cut feature, no problem, you can just use SCISSORS, yes you read that right, you can cut Square1 with just a pair a scissors. Because it is a fabric adhesive backed product, it cuts beautifully with just a pair of scissors 🙂

A SUPER COOL TIP FOR YOU:  After I cut the image out on my Silhouette Cameo, I weeded the image and left it on the backing paper. Here you can see that I used some Washi tape to hold up the Square1 cuts so I could figure out exactly where I wanted them on the wall.   I then was able to peel off the Square1 cut image and place the image directly on the wall.  NO TRANSFER TAPE NEEDED !  Is that awesome or what?  As you can see in my final project photo above, I decided to move the Heart Shape to the other side. That was EASY TO MOVE, because I had used the Square1 REPOSITIONABLE.  Don’t you just love that?  If it had been traditional vinyl I would have been stuck with it or had to re-cut it and waste material.

Here is my final Travel Adventure project up on my entry way wall. All the paintings on this wall are from our travels in Europe mixed in with some mirrors I have picked up over the years. I love how it turned out !  And if I ever change my mind about having the quote there or just want to move the saying around, with the Square1 Masterpiece REPOSITIONABLE products I can easily do it and NOT damage my wall !  Yipeeee !
