Day 12: 25 Days of Christmas Projects Inspiration
Welcome to Day 12 of 25 Days of Christmas Project Inspiration:
Christmas Gift Card Holder
We all know someone who prefers to receive a gift card during the holidays. Or someone we want to give a small token to such as a Starbucks or Fast Food gift card. How about adding a little magical Christmas touch and putting together this adorable Santa Mug Gift Card Holder. The Christmas cheer and smiles are soon to follow when they receive their gift card in this.
Supplies Used: Cardstock in Red, Black, Gold and White and some adhesive. I used a metallic looking gold and shiny black for the belt and a glitter white paper for the white trim.
Santa Mug Gift Card Holder Tutorial:
1. The adorable Santa Mug Gift Card Holder is actually a Santa Hot Chocolate Holder file by Megan Hardy Designs from the Silhouette Online Store. Certainly you could use it to give packs of Hot Chocolate but I thought it was perfect for a gift card holder too.
2. Cut out the pieces of the mug. Adhere the center white piece and then the belt pieces to the face of the mug.
3. Adhere together the sides of the mug to form the back pocket. Tip: I like to use Scor Tape to adhere my paper shapes together since it is very sturdy.
That’s it ! Slip in your gift card and you are ready to bring a Holiday Smile to the receivers face. I made several of these to give to my nail lady, my hair stylist, my mailman, my favorite grocery checker and a few others too. Simple and adorable…you gotta love that during the crazy holiday time.
