Day 14: 25 Days of Christmas Projects Inspiration
Welcome to Day 14 of 25 Days of Christmas Project Inspiration:
Tumbler Gifts
Everyone seems to love having a personalized cup to call their own and keep it straight from others in the room, right? How about making a personalized tumbler with their name on it in permanent vinyl so it will last? Well that is what I did.
1. Select a tumbler of your choice. I bought these at Michael’s a couple of months ago. In fac,t I bought several of these for gift for friends. I loved that they were slim, had a lid and straw and the bling already on them !
2. Select the vinyl you want to use. You need to use a permanent vinyl for this since it will be washed. I used a Silver Metallic Oracle 651 that I had in my vinyl stash. Tip: I recommend these be hand washed but I know some put them in dishwasher just fine on the top shelf. I usually put a little note about how best to clean when I give tumblers inside them for the recipient.
3. Select the font you want to use with your die cut machine to cut the vinyl. I used Lucinda Handrwriting font with my Silhouette Cameo. I also welded my letters together so it was all one piece. If you can do that with your machine, that is easier to apply but even if you need to do individual letters that still works great too.
4. Cut the vinyl and weed the design. I cut mine at 2 inches tall. Tip: Measure your tumbler and see how much room you have to determine the size to make your cut fit perfectly.
5. Apply by using some transfer tape to make putting the Name on easier and being able to line it up.
You are done. Now that was super fast and easy! And your gift recipient will love it ! You can also get fancy and add images cut in vinyl to the tumblers but since this had the bling on it I didn’t need to do that.
